We want our children growing up in a society that represents and celebrates them.

How can we become the change we want to see?

We can definitely start with supporting black owned businesses, big and small. We need to give more of our money back into our black community if we want to grow strong and flourish. Imagine a future where we had a majority of businesses ran and owned by black people, our people. If we look at other nationalities they all have a large ownership of businesses. Why don’t we have the same? I think that’s the lack of support we give to our own people. It’s time to promote and uplift the black people that are trying to make it, especially the youth. Growing up I didn’t see a lot of representation of black people around me or on TV. Wouldn’t it be great to have a large supermarket that was black owned? As a young black child this will show them that anything is within their reach.
